Zimbabwe: A UN Special Rapporteur is “to assess the impact of sanctions imposed on the country by the US and European Union” in 2002. President Mnangagwa maintains that the sanctions have crippled development, the EU and US maintain that they have had no impact on the economy.

Gambia: Former dictator Yahya Jammeh on Saturday told his party, the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC), that he is boss and that he does not approve of the alliance with President Adama Barrow’s National People's Party (NPP) for the upcoming elections. “But the APRC leadership in The Gambia does not agree” and says the alliance is still on.
